Former Darlington striker Simon Johnson has signed a two month deal with Hereford United according to the Official Hereford United Website.
Johnson, 24, started his career with Leeds United in the Premiership, and was tipped to make a decent impression within the footballing world, but things didn't work out at Elland Road for Johnson, and he spent several loan spells at clubs in the north. In 2005, Johnson joined Darlington and started 43 league games for the League Two outfit, scoring nine times. However, Johnson didn't feature in either of Darlington's fixtures against The Bulls last season.
Featuring in pre-season on two occasions, Johnson scored the winning goal at Conference South newcomers Bath City, and also made a second half appearence in the defeat against West Brom.
"He's got an alot to do, he's got an opportunity and he's got to prove to us that he's good enough." said Graham Turner speaking to the Official Hereford United Website, http://www.herefordunited.co.uk/
