Speaking on a Five Live League Two special this evening, Keith Alexander, the former Peterborough manager now director of football at Bury, thought that Hereford's signing of Benjamin would be a good acquisation.
"I feel a bit sorry for Trevor. He did very well for me at Peterborough. He's a far better player than people give him credit for and I think he will do a good job."
Meanwhile Channel Four has listed the Benjamin as the tenth worst Football League transfer deal this close-season.
10. Trevor Benjamin
The 28 year-old former England under-21 joined Hereford from Peterborough this summer - they become the striker's 15th club. Five of those clubs did not get a goal out of him.
