News Round Up

Dagenham have been dishing out long term contracts to their existing players. Former Bull Anwar Uddin is one of three to sign a three year deal, while five more have signed two year extensions.

Wycombe have signed midfielder Gary Holt from Nottm Forest. The 34 year old Scot has played over 400 senior games on both sides of the border. The club have also named former Woking goalkeeper Laurence Batty as their goalkeeping coach. Crawley's creditors will vote on July 20th over again extending their CVA deadline. It will be the third such extension if voted for, dragging the matter nearly 12 months past the original deadline.

Torquay will be the first club to entertain the Setanta cameras, with their home match with Grays scheduled for Sunday 12th August with a kick off of at least 7pm. Lincoln are mulling over a £50,000 move for Darlington striker Julian Joachim, but Grimsby have ruled themselves out of the running for the Lincolnshire-based forward.

Rotherham's pre-season has been hit by flooding to their training pitches. A small area of the Hooton Lodge facility is useable, but two pitches are expected to be relaid before they are fit for purpose. The club have signed defender Graham Coughlan, 32, on a two year deal - their tenth summer signing. Boston have appointed Peterboro coach Tommy Taylor as their new manager. The former Cambridge boss joined the Posh last season after two successful years as a manager at Kings Lynn.

Stockport may be back in the hunt for Simon Travis after the Hatters lost two right backs, with manager Jim Gannon saying: "I've made an offer to a player and he's obviously sitting on it. We'll see if he comes back, if he doesn't I'll be looking at other targets, so I see that position being strengthened shortly anyway."
