There were plenty of buyers for all the Shrewsbury Town memorabilia at the Gay Meadow sale yesterday. Over 215 items were sold in front of nearly 1,000 supporters over a period of three hours.
The items included signs, the dugouts and even the balls used at the last game to be played at the ground.
According to the Shropshire Star, the boardroom table was sold for £2,000, while several signs fetched more than £250.
The biggest sale of the day was a turnstile dating back to 1884, which was bought by Shropshire Homes boss Howard Thorne for £3,050.
