McClenahan expected to start for Olyroos

Trent McClenahan has been named in the Olyroos squad for their Olympic qualifier against Jordan this evening. The Hereford United defender is expected to start especially as Australia may be short of several players because of a virus, injury and a suspension. They need to, at least, draw the game to ensure progress to the final stage of qualifying which begins in August.

Assuming they qualify, McClenahan could miss several games for Hereford United next season if he continues to be selected for the squad.

The Olyroos and Jordan drew 1-1 when they met in Adelaide in March.
