Rotherham will be the second team relegated to League Two next season after the 1-0 loss at home to Carlisle sent them down.
It will be their first season in the bottom flight since the 1999/2000 season, when they finished second. They started this season ten points short after overspending their way into the Championship, forcing them to enter Administration.
Chesterfield will become the third side relegated if they lose to Northampton next Saturday while Cheltenham are increasingly likely to escape the drop after their win at Oldham gave them ten points from twelve, and left them four points clear of the drop.
In the Conference, the race to join Dagenham in winning promotion has seen Oxford guarantee their play-off spot. Morecambe will join them by winning either of their final two games, while both Exeter and York require four points from their remaining two games to secure the other spots.
