Alan Buckley, the Grimsby manager has told his local press that his side will face a tough test at Hereford on Saturday.
"It will be a tough one," said Buckley.
"They look a good side and our reports suggest that.
"Stuart (Watkiss, assistant boss) has been impressed whenever he has seen them this year.
"Graham Turner has them playing well and he is an old head who knows the game. I'm not sure if he has reached 1,000 league games but he can't be far off.
"I remember coming up against him when he was in charge at Shrewsbury all those years ago. But while they are playing well, so are we.
"We won't worry about them, it is up to them to be concerned about us - we are one of the form teams in the league.
"We will prepare like we normally do. And if we perform like we did at Mansfield for 90 minutes rather than we did at Macclesfield in the first 45, we have a good chance."
Buckley could be without several players for the game.
Defender Nick Fenton is nursing an Achilles strain, which could rule him out of the Edgar Street clash, while midfielder Gary Harkins is missing due to a family bereavement.
Gary Croft is again ruled out with a groin injury, while strikers Michael Reddy and Gary Cohen are no nearer full fitness.
