Turner expects lively game on Saturday

Graham Turner is expecting a better game on Saturday between Hereford United and Grimsby Town than when the two clubs met earlier in the season.

That game took place on a Sunday afternoon and was televised on Sky. Just 130 Hereford supporters watched the game at Grimsby which the Bulls lost 2-1.

"I think we are far better as a side right at the moment than we were earlier in the season when we went up to their place," Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"But I think they are too.

"I think Alan Buckley has got them playing in the style that he wants them to play. He's always been a manager that has had sides that get it down and pass it. And they've had a reasonable run of late."

Turner is still hoping for a play-off place but accepts that the Bulls will have to work very hard to get there.

"Our play-off chances have diminished somewhat over the past three matches, which has seen the gap between ourselves and seventh place in the league grow to eight points," Turner told the Worcester News.

"While there is a chance of us finishing in the top seven we will not give up the chase.

"It now requires a run of victories to have any chance of competing in the end-of-season shake-up but, with the encouragement of seeing Stockport and Hartlepool United put excellent runs together, it is certainly not something that is beyond us."
