There is no definite news as to whether former Hereford United player, Ryan Green, will feature for Bristol Rovers in this evening's FA Cup game.
"Ryan came through the Torquay game on New Year's Day okay but now has a slightly tight groin and we're not sure whether or not he's going to be fit," said Rovers manager Paul Trollope as reported by the Western Daily Press. Aaron Lescott could replace Green.
Trollope also spoke about the game.
"Both our previous games against Hereford were tight but good, entertaining ones. The one on Boxing Day was end to end. We finished it very strongly and possibly could have won it.
"But Hereford are above us in the table and have had a very good first season back in the Football League. They break quickly and have a good mixture of pace and quality ball players with good technique.
"They are in good form but we are too and we think if we can reach the standard we have set in recent weeks we can win."
The state of the pitch could influence the result says Trollope. Currently it is expected to be heavy.
The latest forecast suggests that it should stay dry for the game. Expected rain may not reach Bristol until afterwards.
Meanwhile Graham Turner, the Hereford United manager, is hoping the Bulls good away form will continue this evening.
"Getting through to the fourth round would be quite an achievement, but we have nothing to fear at Rovers, particularly with our away record this season," said Turner.
And coach John Trewick says that looking at the video of the last game between the two clubs has given his side a few ideas.
"On the evidence of the two games that we have played against each other so far this season we look pretty evenly matched," he said.
"Having looked at the video of the Boxing Day match there are a few things that we can work on tactically and we'll go there with plenty of confidence, hoping to get into the fourth round draw."
