The Bulls travel to Macclesfield for their first ever League encounter at Moss Rose against the hosts.
Macclesfield replaced the Bulls in the League and this is their tenth year in the top 92. When the Silkmen came to Edgar Street in September they left without manager Brian Horton as a late Alan Connell goal saw the Silkmen lose and record their 12th league match without a win. New boss Paul Ince, now available to play, took eight games to produce a win but once it started it was difficult to stop as the club overhauled a massive gap to edge within goal difference of safety. The run of 19 points from 24 was ended at Barnet on Saturday but a win this time round could see the club out of the dangerzone for the first time this season.
The Bulls are yet to record a victory in 2007 after notching 22 league victories in 2006 and 19 in 2005. Fans are wondering where have all the service to the strikers gone as the Bulls have recorded just four goals in the last seven games since John Eustace's departure from Edgar Street. A midfield spark seems desperately missing from a side that holds an aspiration for the play-offs.
Macclesfield vs Hereford, Moss Rose, Saturday January 20th, 3.00pm.
