Wrexham have confirmed Brian Carey as manager of the club until the end of the season. Carey, 38, played over 300 times for the club in a nine year spell at the club to 2005 and recently renewed his playing forms to ease an injury crisis.
Accrington have released defender Rikki Baines after a short term contract and three appearances. Also leaving is former Blackburn trainee Joel Byrom after a single sub appearance. The club have tabled a bid for an un-named Conference striker, believed to be Michael Twiss, and have taken Preston's young striker Chris McGrail on work experience terms. Boston have lost the services of Ipswich defender Ian Miller after an injury in the Ipswich camp. Miller was a regular and is expected to be replaced later in the week.
Shrewsbury have added full back Marc Tierney to their squad on a two and a half year deal from Oldham. The former Latics trainee has been an occasional starter since signing professional terms in 2002.
