The Bulls departed the National Hockey Stadium with all three points in a surprise win over one of the front runners.
Alan Connell, Stuart Fleetwood, and another Rob Purdie penalty sealed an excellent 3-1 win, with Izale McLeod scoring for MK Dons, but the Bulls had five players booked in a rare match that they committed more fouls than their opponents.
The Bulls move up to 12th place on 20 points.
