Graham Turner has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that he tried to sign Kris Taylor, who is now on-loan at Burton Albion, and should line up for the Brewers against the Bulls tomorrow.
Taylor, a midfielder, is a Walsall player who has spent a previous spell at Burton during 2004/5. Now 22 he returned to Burton in January for the rest of this season.
Meanwhile Turner expects a tough game tomorrow.
"We've thought for a long while it would be a hard game. They've got some good players up there and it's surprised me that they haven't been bigger contenders.
"They won't have given up hope of getting into the play-offs
"All the vibes coming out of Burton is that this is their biggest game of the season because they need to win it to have a realistic chance of getting into a play-off position.
"So we know how they are going to handle the game and deal with it. So we've got to be at our best up there.
"Nice stadium, new stadium up there. Playing surface is not the best, but having said that, we've got to go and cope with all Burton can throw at us and all the conditions that we find ourselves playing under.
"I do think they've got some good players. I do think they're organised. I do think it could be the hardest game between now and the end of the season.
"They had an outstanding victory last week at Stevenage - that's the measure of their side at the moment."
Meanwhile Nigel Clough has told the Burton Mail he expects a good game.
"They'll test us because they are one of the most attack-minded teams in the Conference.
"They also counter-attack at pace, which makes me think it has all the makings of being a very good game because both teams should be full of confidence.
"We just need to keep the momentum going from our last game because if we're even only slightly off it - as we were in the first half at Stevenage - we'll get punished."
Finally it is understood that loan deals for the Conference must be confirmed by 5pm on 23rd March.
