No mid-week game for Bulls

Hereford United don't play again until next Saturday. The break will be welcomed as it will give players on the way back from injury a full week to help their recovery.

The Bulls have just one outstanding fixture, that at Morecambe, which is to take place on April 4th. So it will be the first season recently when fixture congestion hasn't been a problem. The only time all Conference clubs play twice in a week will be on Easter Bank Holiday Monday.

That isn't the case with a couple of the other play-off hopefuls. Exeter, Grays Athletic and Woking have to play their second leg Trophy games next Saturday and at least one of them will be in the final.

On top of that Woking have a Conference local derby against Aldershot on Tuesday.

So whereas Hereford will have played 35 Conference games by next Saturday evening, Grays and Woking will only have played 32 games and Exeter 33 games. That means Grays and Woking will have to fit in four mid-week games before the end of the season and Exeter three games. Those extra games may not help these teams acheive their play-off hopes.

Meanwhile also in action on Tuesday are leaders Accrington Stanley. They travel the short distance to Southport for their last mid-week fixture. The Milkmen should win this contest, but there will be many Hereford United supporters hoping otherwise.
