Yates 'Ignores' Rochdale Christie Bid

Kidderminster boss Mark Yates has hit back at Rochdale counterpart Steve Parkin after being accused of mishandling Iyseden Christie's proposed move.

Parkin had accused Yates of ignoring the offer, but Yates saw the deal differently, telling the official Kidderminster site: "I last spoke to Rochdale at 6 o'clock on Thursday evening when I was told that had I not got back to them about their offer for Iyseden an hour or so later then the deal was dead. I wasn't completely happy with what was offered - I didn't get back to them. You'd think that would have made my intentions pretty clear, wouldn't you? So I was a little disappointed to read the comments coming from Rochdale over the past couple of days."

Yates admitted that both Christie and Mark Jackson had been subject to bids, but that neither player would leave unless the deal was right.
