We're all out to win says Wilder

Hereford United travel to the Shay next Saturday for a FA Trophy second round tie with Halifax.

Chris Wilder, according to the NLP, beleives the Trophy is his sides best chance of silverware this season.

"There's hardly any trophies for a team in the Conference - realistically there's only the chapionship and the Trophy," said the Halifax manager.

"We're very proud of our home record and want to keep it intact. But Hereford have good players in every position on the pitch.

"With no points at stake, and a cup game, we'll be going for a win. The Trophy brings both financial rewards and personal glory - and a big final to go for.

"If some of the top sides drop out at this stage, it'll be a great chance for us."

Whereas Hereford United have a free week, Halifax take on Morecambe tomorrow evening at the Shay. The game is live on Sky.

With both sides (and Hereford) on 40 points, this should be a lively encounter. Halifax will probably start as favourites as they are unbeaten at home in the Conference this season.

However sooner or later the Shaymen will lose at home.
