Trevor Kettle is to be in charge of the LDV game at Macclesfield later this month according to a post on Confguide.
January 24th Macclesfield Town v Hereford United
Referee: T M Kettle. Assistant Referees: E M Evans & R J Steans. Fourth Official: D J Roberts. Assessor: D M Horlick.
Kettle hasn't been in charge of a Hereford United game since March 2003. That day the Bulls lost to Margate 3-2 at Edgar Street, and there was only one booking in the game. However Kettle is not highly regarded in some circles.
Recently Gray's manager Mark Stimson was less than happy with referee Kettle as his side went down 3-0 to the Stags.
Speaking to the BBC after the defeat, Stimson said "I asked the ref at half-time if we should come out for the second half or just go home,"
"I'm very disappointed. I ask players to be honest and if the ref can sleep at night and say he's given an honest day's work then good luck to him."
