Preview: Bulls vs Crawley

The Bulls hold the upper hand in the three Conference matches between these two sides. A 2-0 win at the Broadfield Stadium in mid August, thanks to goals from Guy Ipoua and Tamika Mkandawire, followed two draws last season.

The Bulls defend an eight match unbeaten run, and are the only Conference side to not concede more than two goals in a game in all competitions. Manager Graham Turner hopes to see new faces added to his line up and is waiting on answers from a trio of players. The squad has battled through a string of injuries, but the welcome return of Andy Ferrell on Saturday plus a rare reserve match will bring several other recent injury victims back to full fitness - with Stacy Coldicott's likely return after four months almost as good as a new signing.

Crawley have lost just once, 1-0 at home to York, since John Hollins became manager - leading to his naming as manager of the month for December, but they remain just two points above the relegation zone. Certainly, the Crawley that comes to Edgar Street on Saturday will be a much changed side to the one that was beaten in August. Gone are the manager, assistant, and four of the players that saw action that day, with a fifth, Jamie Cade, out on loan until February. Rumours circulate that more departures are likely as Crawley, 19 points off the pace, still look to a play-off spot.
