Turner talks to BBC H&W

Graham Turner has been talking to BBC Hereford and Worcester. Some of the points he made are below. First he spoke about the FA Cup.

"The events of the Saturday will prove that it was a tricky tie. When you see Tamworth going to Bournemouth and one or two other smaller clubs, Burscough for instance knocking out Gillingham.

"So I think it makes people realish just how difficult a task it was. And we did come through it very well. I thought we played well, should have won the game by more than one goal, but what a cracking goal it was.

"Obviously that keeps the interest going in the FA Cup because the draw was kind to us and it gives us a chance of making further progress.

"The one thing you want is a home tie. We've got that. We've got a side that is struggling at the wrong end of the Second Division. We've got every chance of beating them.

"We know that they will fancy their chances coming here because they had a great win against Swansea in the last round. That was probably a surprise result for most people. But we've got one to look forward to and one that is very winnable."

Turner has also spoken about the lack of goals from the Bulls.

"We need to start scoring. I thought we created good chances again at Cambridge City. We've got to start putting them in the back of the net. We were getting plenty of balls wide, plenty of crosses in, plenty of set pieces in there.

"There comes a time when, I beleive, we will start finishing them off. I think that when you are creating chances, it's always a good sign and sooner or later they will start going in for us.

"I think that when you are not creating chances, that's the time to really start worrying.

"We have had a fairly mediorce start to the season, that has to be said and we've got to start putting that right. But I don't think the results have always reflected our performances. I think some of the performances have been better than our league position and the points total suggests.

"We've half way up in the League table and we've got to improve on that. That's obvious.

"I think there is a feeling that it will come right, that we will get it right. I think players have worked hard in the games.

"We've had now for several seasons where we haven't done as well at home as we should have done. The home results have proved costly over the past two seasons where we've been so close.

"If you're going to be successful then your home ground has to be a fortress. Ours hasn't been over the last couple of seasons, but there is still plenty of time and we've got to start putting that right against Woking.

"They've had a reasonable start, in some ways, to the season. One place above us. The reports are that they are well organised. One or two threats in there.

"I don't overly concern myself with the opposition right at the moment. We've got to put our own game right. We've got the players capable of doing it. We've got the players capable of putting the ball in the back of the net. We've got to start doing it."

Comparing home and away form Turner admitted it was hard to understand why home form can be disappointing.

"I can't understand why it goes wrong. I think, to be fair, one or two of the players always appear to lack a little bit of confidence at home. They go away, the pressure is off. They are not perhaps examined quite so closely by supporters.

"I feel one or two feel a little bit edgey when they play at home. That just upsets their rhythem a little bit, but there is no obvious reason why our away form over the last two seasons has been so good. The results have been terrific.

"You go away from home and score nine goals, we've not done that at home. So there has obviously been something wrong but a few good results might well put that right."
