It's two years since the Bulls scored nine

This article comes from the Barking and Dagenham Recorder:

Two seasons ago Hereford United came to Victoria Road and humiliated Daggers very publically in front of a TV audience.

The Bulls crushed Garry Hill's side 9-0 in just about the heaviest TV result there has been since Sky TV began its coverage.

Hill resigned soon after and Daggers' season tailed off into oblivion, while Hereford just missed out to Chester City on gaining promotion back to the Football League.

They also finished second last season, to Barnet and in both seasons lost in the promotion play-off semi-finals.

Those near-misses meant they kicked off this campaign as the bookmakers' favourites to win the Conference, but it hasn't worked out that way and at the time of writing Hereford lie only eighth.

But last Saturday's impressive home result - a 4-0 home thrashing of a Woking side unbeaten in their previous 12 games - might indicate that the Bulls are back on the rampage!

Striker Guy Ipoua, a close season signing by boss Graham Turner, from Doncaster, returned after three months out and scored on Saturday, as did teenage debutant Andy Williams.

But the highly-rated English semi-pro international Adam Stansfield hasn't been fit for a couple of months, although he is nearing fitness.

Certainly there are few worries at the back for Hereford. They currently have the best defensive record in the Conference, having conceded just 11 goals in 16 games!

Surprisingly, despite that televised demolition of Daggers in 2003, Hereford don't have a particularly good record in East London, losing on four of six visits in recent seasons.

In a very tight campaign, Hereford, along with half-a-dozen ex-League clubs, are trying determinedly to reclaim their League status and know it won't take much to get them right back in the middle of the promotion pack.
