Burr Named New England Assistant

Northwich manager Steve Burr has been named as assistant to Paul Fairclough for the forthcoming non-league international with Belgium.

"I was a bit surprised when Paul rang me but I'm delighted to be part of it. I'm looking forward to learning from Paul and getting on the training ground and working with the players." Burr told BBC Sport.

The appointment will come as a blow to the Conference chairmen who want an independent coaching team in charge of the England setup.
