Dave Bradley of BBC Hereford and Worcester spoke to Graham Turner, the Hereford United manager, earlier. Below are extracts from their conversation.
At the outset Bradley asked Turner about Alfreton Town:
"Given that we are a league higher than them and we are full-time pros, we would expect to progress but we take nothing for granted.
"We've had them watched and the thoughts are that they are a well organised side and that they work hard and that's in their league games.
"On top of that they are going to lift themselves for a FA Cup match, so there is no doubt that we have to be at our best to make progress.
"The attitude should be right, the attitude should be spot on. We want to be in that hat when the league clubs come in.
"But it is vital that we are spot on with our preparations, spot on with our attitude
"The winners from this round have £10k from the FA plus gate money and things like that.
"I still beleive that the television companies start to take the next round of the FA Cup where we get £5k for a home match for a Conference game and £2k if you're the away team, it's 75k for a FA Cup game."
As regards injuries, Turner said that Danny Carey-Bertram should be fit.
"He should be okay. He's just feeling his hamstring. It gets tight occasionally. He should be fit.
"We have a problem with the goalkeeper, Wayne Brown. Chester have not given permission for him to play in the FA Cup or the LDV Trophy. That's particularily disappointing when we have him on a season long loan. He can't play for anybody else. There's no recall clause in the contract and we thought it would be a foregone conclusion that Chester would have given permission, but they haven't.
"Ipoua played for 15 minutes. He's still not fully fit in terms of his endurance and sharpness but he's over his injury and he should be in the reckoning but I think he needs a little more football before he makes the starting line-up.
"Darren Blewitt with his dead leg he picked up training last Monday is doubtful."
Turner then spoke about Adam Stansfield.
"He's making good progress. He's on schedule for a return in early November.
To conclude Turner was reminded that there is a local derby against Kidderminster shortly.
"I saw Kidderminster play against Morecambe. I thought Morecambe were one of the better sides in the Conference but on that day they disappointed me.
"Take nothing away from Kidderminster, they deserved the victory.
"It adds a little bit of spice when it's a local derby so that is one for the supporters to look forward to."
