Tony James, reflecting on the Bulls recent performances to the Offical Hereford United Website, told reporter Keith Hall: "We played some good football - stuff we haven't played in a while. We looked quite effective going forward at times, and I think on the balance of play we deserved at least a point from it. We had plenty of chances and just didn't put them away.We had a perfect start to the second half. The Gaffer got us motivated at half-time to come out and get ourselves a goal, and we managed to do that through Danny Carey-Bertram, but disappointingly a set-piece has gone in to undo us. I think everyone was tearing their hair out as something like that happened."
"Its happened a few times now this season as after we've scored we tend to concede and something is not right. Whether we're switching off, or what-have-you but it needs to be addressed. It never seems to be the initial ball that comes into the box that's troubling us. It's always the knock-down, and that's what has happened today. The ball bouncing around our penalty area - and the opposition scoring as a result. It's happening at the other end for us as well though, but our lads aren't getting on the end of it at the moment."
"We've got to take some positives out of the defeat at Accrington. I believe its some of the best football we've played for quite a while, and when we've been able to get it wide, and get some crosses into the box, we've made it difficult for the opposition. But the results the most important thing."
Speaking about the season so far, James added: "To be fair we're nine points down on the target we've set ourselves up to this stage. I would say that of those nine points we could've got six easily if we'd just played a little bit better. The lads know it. The Gaffer knows it, and I'm sure we'll be trying to put it right. This week we've been focussing on the Burton match, and we'll be looking to defend a lot better at set pieces especially, and we're looking to bury the ball in the net a bit more.
