It's Mansfield next Tuesday

Hereford United has had a good record in the LDV in recent years and will no doubt be hoping for more success next Tuesday at Mansfield. Below is some information for supporters hoping to make the trip mainly adapted from the Official Mansfield Town website:

Visiting fans are now housed in the NORTH STAND of the ground which is accessible from the Portland Industrial park and small alley way (known as Cinderella Walk) to the rear of the ground and not the South Stand as in previous seasons. There is a small food kiosk that sells the usual hot and cold snacks as well as beverages and a vast range of sweets and crisps. Visiting fans buses should drop off and pick up in the Portland Retail park that is adjacent with the NORTH STAND.

As reported previously on Bulls News tickets will cost £10 for Adults and £5 for
Concessions.

Matchday programmes are available for sale in and around the ground at a cost of £2.50 for a 64 page glossy magazine.

How To Get There:
By Road - From Hereford:
A4103/M5/M42/A42/M1. Leave the M1 at Junction 28 and take the A38 (Sutton Road) into towards Mansfield. At the large junction which has B&Q on the opposite left side, get into the right hand lane and make this turn passing Kings Mill Hospital on your left. You are still on the A38. Carry on until you reach across road with the John Cockel pub on your left. Turn right into Sheepbridge lane and follow this road down until you reach another pub the Lord Byron. Turn left here onto Quarry Lane the ground is on the left hand side on this road.

Normally the journey from Herefordshire to Mansfield should take around two and a
half hours. But it may be prudent to allow a little more time going because of the evening rush-hour.

By Rail:
Get off the train at Mansfield Train Station and cross over the road you will see a retail park housing comet and the floodlights of the ground it is literally a 5 minute walk.

Parking:
There is a small Car park which is available on a first come first served basis costing £2.00 per car. When this is full there are numerous parking space in the nearby retail parks and national carparks which are pay and display and typically cost approx. 60p / hour. Please Note: the retail park behind the ground does not permit matchday parking and you run the risk of being clamped.

Around The Ground:
There are many public houses in the town centre which is only a ten minute walk from the ground. Although not all are away support friendly. However, Early Doors pub next to Currys is across from the ground is extremely away friendly and welcomes families and responsible fans. They serve up a good range of food and have a well stocked bar. This establishment encourages friendly interaction between home and away fans.

One to stay away from is the Old Victoria which is frequented solely by Stags fans.

Within walking distance from the ground there are lot's of places to eat, Macdonalds, Burger king, Kentucky fried chicken and fish & chip shops. If you would prefer to grab a quick sandwhich you can visit the pubs or nip into Safeway/Morrisons which sells pre packed food.
