Hereford to play Boston

Hereford United have been drawn at home against Boston United in the second round of the FA Cup.

A win would be worth £24,000 to the Bulls. The game is set to take place on Saturday December 4th. This means that the Conference away game against Morecambe due to be played on that day will be re-arranged for a later date.

Boston put five goals past Hornchurch at home yesterday in Round One, but the visitors have severe financial problems and played with a young team.

The last time the two clubs met was in the televised Conference game in February 2002 when Hereford United ran out 4-3 winners. None of the players who turned out for Hereford that evening are still with the club. Boston are seventh in Division Two at present.
