Parry in Wales squad

Ex-Bull Paul Parry has been selected for Wales for a friendly game away in Latvia on Wendnesday August 18th. If Parry plays it will be his fourth international Cap.

Each cap that he earns will mean extra income for Hereford United because of a clause in the deal that took Parry to Cardiff City. United will receive a fixed figure of money for each time that Parry plays for Wales. It is unknown if this clause has a limit; for example the clause may be upto a maximum of ten caps.

Parry has three caps so far and has netted once for the Welsh against Hungary at the Racecourse. He also appeared against Norway in Oslo and Scotland at the Millennium Stadium.

Meanwhile Lennie Lawrence, the Cardiff City manager, says that he thinks Parry will have a tough season ahead of him.

"Paul needs to get his head clear and regain the confidence levels he reached when he came to the club.? said the City boss.

"He's 23, but in football terms he's only 20 and similar in football development to James Collins and both are young men who will experience highs and lows."
