Gould requests transfer
Johnathan Gould has asked for a transfer from Preston but whether this means he is coming to Edgar Street is unknown. Chairman Derek Shaw confirmed that on this occasion the rumours were true.
"It came about a little bit sudden," Shaw told the Preston Official website. "Jonathan Gould asked for a transfer in Ibiza last week."
The Chairman also went on to explain that there was nothing sinister in the transfer request and that it was simply a case of the player wanting to be nearer his family.
"You can understand and sympathise, his family is down in Bristol and Jonathan is up here all the time, it must be quite hard work and I think it is mainly family pressure and it has got to him a little bit and perhaps he wants to move on and get located a little bit nearer home."
