Really our fault
Danny Williams was interviewed after this afternoon's game at Doncaster Rovers.
"We started very brightly, we had a few good chances but we were disappointed with the goal. It was really our fault and then the referee gave a bad decision for the penalty. That killed it off really." he said. "We improved our passing a bit (in the second half) but we did not play particually well today. It's a tough place to come but we are disappointed with the result."
Williams was not happy with the referee. "The standard of the refereeing today was shocking. He made some very poor decisions. We are not using it as an excuse but it does not help."
Andy Giddings reporting for Radio Sheffield also criticised the referee, saying: "Ian Wright forced a good save from Andy Warrington but the referee's performance then started to dominate matters as he seemed to blow his whistle at every given opportunity infuriating the home crowd."
