Wigan Athletic have been eliminated from the LDV Vans Trophy, fuelling Hereford United's hopes for an FA Cup upset on Saturday.
The leaders of the second division crashed out of the LDV courtesy of a 1-0 defeat against United's Conference rivals Doncaster Rovers, with Mark Albrighton scoring the goal on sixty seven minutes.
Graham Turner's Hereford side lost 2-0 at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago but will still be eager to overturn the applecart and pull off a shock result.
