Williams pleased with result
Danny Williams was pleased with today's result. He told local media: "It was a good performance today, the lads have worked hard and it was a good win.
"We played well in the first half and it was against the run of play (the Dagenham goal). It was a great goal but they did not really deserve it."
At half time Graham Turner "told us to keep going, to keep positive," said Williams. His goal, the eventual winner was "just a header. Paul Parry done well, he stole it back off the keeper, just lifted it back in and I put it in the corner."
Williams was a doubt for the match this morning. He injured his groin in the first minute of the game against Scarborough but came through a fitness test. Ian Wright is still struggling with a hamstring injury and will be a doubt for Tuesday's game at Leigh.
Dagenham boss Garry Hill was not pleased with the defeat. "We're our own worst enemies at the moment," he said. "We've gone in front with a great strike from Steve West, who did a good job as target man, but then we had a mad five minutes. Hereford didn't really cause us any problems in the first half. At half time we were confident that we could go on and win."
