Play-off place likely - Dodd

New HUISA chairman Keith Dodd is confident that a play-off place is a realistic option for Hereford United this season.

Quoted in today's Hereford Times, Dodd said: "The team spirit at the club seems to be excellent and I am very excited about the club's prospects this season. The new coach, Richard O'Kelly, is a very popular figure and there is certainly pace, commitment and determination in the squad.

"John Grant looks a very lively striker, for instance, and I honestly think a top-six finish is not beyond us. We all know that the club has to repay a £1million loan in May to property developers Chelverton but we are remaining very optimistic about the club's future.

"After May, I believe that United will have a very bright future."
