National North Weekend Review

A look at yesterday's games in the National North League written by NL's Sam Elliott.

South Shields hit the Enterprise National League North summit for the first time this season after their brilliant win at the morning’s leaders Oxford City.

Two goals from Toby Oluwatobi Onanaye and a trademark Paul Blackett strike settled the big game.

Hereford lost for a third time in four as Aaron Downes tries to navigate a tricky spell. Paul Caddis returned to Edgar Street to haunt the Bulls - Kwame Thomas got two in King’s Lynn Town’s 3-0 win, with

Aaron Jones bagging the other.

Macclesfield put on a brilliant display at Bedford Town. They also won 3-0 and there was another two-goal scorer as Danny Elliott bagged a brace.

Buxton are going for promotion again. Johnny Johnston, Ashton Mee, Tony Weston and Kian Scales were on target against Marine.

Aaron Jarvis took Hednesford into the top seven - his winner saw the Pitmen to victory at Chester.

Marcus Neill and Paul Lewis got the job done early for Morecambe as Scarborough Athletic were swatted aside. Dan Burton’s double downed Darlington as Spalding United moved to within a win of the top seven.
