Ex-Bull watch

Kyle Finn in March 2020
Former Hereford winger Kyle Finn has joined relegated Leamington as manager Scott Easterlow begins a major summer rebuild. The 27-year-old, who came through Coventry City’s academy and later signed permanently for the Bulls in 2019, becomes the Brakes’ first signing of the summer.

Finn helped Tamworth win back-to-back titles before spending last season with Halesowen Town, where he finished as the club’s top assist provider. Leamington-born Finn said joining his hometown club was something he had “always wanted” to do.

Former Hereford midfielder Aurio Teixeira will remain at Rushall Olympic for next season after agreeing a new deal at Dales Lane. The 24-year-old joined the Pics last summer.

Teixeira became a key figure for Ian Long’s side during their 16th-place Northern Premier League campaign, with the former Alvechurch boss praising his importance and calling him “vital” to the way Rushall want to play. He left Edgar Street 18 months into a two-year deal after making 65 appearances under Paul Caddis.

Former Hereford loanee Jak Hickman has left Halesowen Town after more than three years with the club. The right-back made 129 appearances for the Yeltz after initially joining on loan from Banbury United in March 2023, before the move was made permanent following promotion to step three.

Hickman became a key figure at The Grove, scoring five goals in 42 appearances last season and finishing his spell with a final-day goal against AFC Sudbury. He also briefly featured for Hereford in 2019, making nine appearances while on loan from Coventry City, early in his career.

Across his Halesowen spell, he passed the 100-appearance milestone and captained the side on occasion, including in the Birmingham Senior Cup.

Two ex-Bulls have been given gongs at Barry Town United's presentation evening. The Golden Boot went to Ollie Hulbert, who had a month on loan at Edgar Street from Bristol Rovers in 2021.

Meanwhile, midfielder Callum Sainty who was at Edgar Street in 2018, won the Chairman’s Player of the Year award. Steve Jenkins, who was Pete Beadle's assistant at Edgar Street in 2014 and between 2016 and 2018, is head of football at the Cymru Premier side.

In the same league, Colwyn Bay are in discussions to retain Seb Osment. Born in Shrewsbury and brought up in Powys, the 22-year-old keeper had a spell with Hereford in the youth and first team before moving back over the border to Aberystwyth Town and then Colwyn Bay.
