Two former Hereford United strikers from the 1990's have sadly been diagnosed with dementia.
Neil Grayson and Peter Heritage
Stafford Rangers earlier this month hosted a reunion for former player Neil Grayson who has been diagnosed with dementia recently.
The reunion celebrated 20 years since Stafford were promoted to what is now the National League. Grayson played for Hereford during the 1997/1998 season, but the clubs financial woes saw him sold to Cheltenham. He was still playing and scoring in the National League for Stafford when he was 43.
Peter Heritage was signed by Colin Addison from Gillingham in early 1991 and "The Wing Commander" formed a striking partnership with Simon Brain. Heritage has been diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia and is currently being looked after at a care home in Sussex.
