Yesterday afternoon Hereford Women played Knowle Ladies in a League fixture, the game took place at Belmont 3G.
Here's a report.
Both teams started brightly, they matched each other well, after a bout of pressure down both wings Knowle found the back of the net on 9 minutes.
Hereford continued to attack and forced some good saves from the keeper.
A stone wall penalty claim was waved away after a reckless challenge from behind by the Knowle defender.
Both teams created some good chances but neither could change the half time score line.
HT Hereford 0-1 Knowle
Second half saw both teams play some attractive football, Demi Edwards was denied by the keeper on 52 minutes, Robyn Mear also saw a good effort saved on 73 minutes, the Knowle keeper was in outstanding form.
Hereford conceded another with a well worked break from Knowle giving Hannah Pritchard no chance of saving the strike.
Just after the 80 minutes Mylie Jordan pulled one back.
Substitute Maisie Evans beat the keeper but her looping effort struck the bar and bounced clear.
FT Hereford 1-2 Knowle
The Knowle keeper pulled off some great saves, Hereford had two penalties waved away but matched their opponent across the park.
The back line performed fantastically against a team that haven’t lost this season.
2-1 flattered Knowle, Hereford created some good chances but couldn’t see them over the line.
