Hereford fall to defeat against league leaders

Hereford have fallen to a 4-1 defeat against AFC Fylde at Edgar Street.

While a win would have been the fourth in a row for the Bulls, they missed tbe chance to move out of the relegation zone as they fell to the second defeat under Aaron Downes. 

The visitors, currently top of the league, he were ruthlessly clinical, going into the break trailing by three goals. 

Felipe Rodriguez-Gentile smashed home the opener in the fifth minute in acres of space in the box, before Danny Mayor carved open Hereford's defence for a second 20 minutes later. 

The third came from Tom Whelan, forcing home a loose ball inside the area seven minutes from the break, converting the Coasters' third shot of the game.

Into the second half, while the Bulls tried to reduce the deficit, a mistake at the back saw Luca Thomas teed up to curl a forth past Theo Richardson.

Harrison Sohna did pull a goal back in the 89th minute as the Bulls capitalised on a Fylde error, but it was too little too late from the Bulls who now face Alfreton on Thursday.
