Back At Edgar Street Tomorrow Evening

It's been a long time coming but at last Hereford FC will be back at Edgar Street for a National North League fixture tomorrow evening.

It will be the first game since Saturday January 10th when Hereford went out of the FA Trophy losing to AFC Fylde on penalties.

Tomorrow's visitors Leamington are, like Hereford, currently in the relegation zone. Hereford won their games last Saturday and Leamington did well to draw with AFC Fylde.

It does not need saying that Hereford need to win this game to enhance their chances of avoiding the drop especially as their next two games, both at Edgar Street, are against South Shield and AFC Fylde who are first and second in the table respectively.

Manager Aaron Downes is looking forward to his first game in charge at Edgar Street.

"I can't wait, I can't wait to get back home.

"I'm so happy that we won (at Worksop) to go into that.

"Hopefully a bit of confidence, a bit of belief but also hopefully we'll swell the stands and get a few more coming through the door with renewed energy.

"Everybody at the club has renewed energy and belief in what we are trying to do."

Striker Andy Williams said it had been a long time since Hereford played at Edgar Street.

"I just said to the lads, there will be a few who haven't played there before, get youselves there early and get used to it.

"Hopefully the crowd will do the same and it will be a real good experience for everyone.

"If we can win and get that place rocking I think there will be a few more coming back through the gates from now on."
