Cowley is now at Halesowen and is the leading scorer in Southern Premier League Central.
His four goals tonight saw the Yeltz win 6-2 at Barwell to go up to fifth and into the play-off places. Another former Hereford player, Tyrone Barnett, also scored for Halesowen with a penalty.
Cowley has always been prolific at Step 3 of non-league football and came to Hereford having scored 24 goals for Stourbridge in the 2022/23 season. In his first campaign with the Bulls, Cowley netted 12 times in 34 appearances.
However, during a pre-season friendly at, ironically, Halesowen in July 2024, Cowley suffered a bad injury, which set him back.
When he did come back into the side, he never got going, only scoring twice.
Despite being offered a new deal by then Hereford manager, Paul Caddis, Cowley decided to go back to the league he flourishes in and joined Halesowen. And he hasn't looked back.
