Bulls earn vital three points at start of Downes's reign

Aaron Downes's Hereford reign is off to a perfect start as they keep a clean sheet and grab three points against Darlington this evening.

After a goalless first half at Sixways, both sets of defenders kept clear-cut chances to a minimum and it looked to need a piece of magic - or a mistake - for the deadlock to be broken.

But in the 89th minute, Aaron Skinner was tripped as he burst into the box with the referee pointing to the spot.

Skinner stepped up and smashed home the spot kick and it was enough to secure an absolutely vital three points.
