Rees Scores Twice On His Debut For Forest Green

Ricardo Rees scored twice on his debut for Forest Green Rovers this afternoon following his transfer from Merthyr last Wednesday.

His goals, on 67 and 78 minutes, helped his new club defeat Halifax 2-1. He also hit the post twice.

Whilst details of the trasfer have not been made public, sources are suggesting Merthyr will receive £100,000 for the striker. 

Meanwhile Will Spiers, who also impressed for Merthyr against Hereford last Tuesday, has joined Eastleigh from Cardiff on loan for the rest of the season.
