Sensible Course Of Action Said Hereford Chairman

The decision to move Saturday's game against Peterborough Sports to the Pims Park is a 'sensible course of action' said Hereford chairman Chris Ammonds.

"While we would rather not switch this fixture, and are very sorry for any disruption or inconvenience the change causes, we feel this is the most sensible course of action to give our Groundsman, Ben Bowen, more time to continue to undertake work to address the ongoing issue with our playing surface.

"We are optimistic that work being done, which has already involved installing two new drains, will improve the playing surface significantly and switching the game takes the pressure off, particularly looking at the weather forecast for Herefordshire for the latter part of the week.

"Another possible postponement would start to cause a fixture backlog and introduce another Tuesday night fixture, which is not ideal for us, or Peterborough Sports.

"We would like to thank Peterborough Sports and the National League for their co-operation and support in switching Saturday’s game, and we once again apologise for any inconvenience caused by the change to our fixture list."
