Jack Maskell's goal from a corner separates the two sides at the break in this afternoon's National League North match at Darlington.
A scramble in the box from the corner saw Theo Richardson parry Cedric Main's shot, but only into the path of Maskell as Hereford fell a goal behind.
Richardson was the busier of the two keepers and more chances need to be created.
