Caddis quashes any hope of re-signing Campbell and Ceesay

Hereford manager Paul Caddis appears to be moving on from any hope of re-signing Yusifu Ceesay and Tate Campbell.

The pair are the only players to be offered deals to stay at Edgar Street who are yet to publicly accept or refuse them.

But Caddis said: "I’ve always said we need fresh faces, and as of now, every signing moving forward will be a new signing."

Last summer, Ceesay didn't sign a new deal straight away as he tried to forge a move to Spain. Tate Campbell joined the Whites from Birmingham City last summer looking to reignite his love for the game.

Looking at the new signings, Caddis told the official club website that the addition of Keenan Quansah and Mitchell Roberts means they now have a "real strong defensive group of players with varying qualities".

He is aiming to bring in another four or five players before the start of the season and wants a squad of 18 to 20 players.

On addressing the likes of Sammy Robinson, Jaiden White, Jason Cowley and Alex Babos who have decided their futures lie away from Edgar Street despite being offered deals to stay, Caddis said: "We have seen some players leave and reject contracts that we offered, and that’s natural.

"Rest assured, I have offered very good deals to those lads and they have committed elsewhere for a variety of reasons which I fully respect."
