Hereford's assistant manager Adam Rooney spoke to the local media after yesterday's 3-0 win over Leamington. He spoke instead of manager Paul Caddis who had been red-carded during the second half.
"Obviously big crowd here today, expectations for us to go and win the game and run over the top of them but it's never the case.
"Leamington were organised, a really good side.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult game. It was just trying to manage that expectation. We knew we had enough quality to go and win the game.
"Going in at half time 0-0 people get a bit neavy.
"But then once that first goal goes in I think you could see the confidence flow through the team."
That first goal didn't come until the 63rd minute.
"The gaffer said at half time just keep doing what you are doing. We were a little bit slack in the first half in the final third.
"The second and third goals, I don't think the gaffer saw them, two brilliant goals.
"Goal of the season show will be coming up soon, I think those two will be on the rail because they were two brilliant goals."
Interviewee Carson Wishart felt Jaiden White should have been man of the match.
"I think he got it last week when he didn't deserve it so it makes up for that.
"I think to a man everyone was brilliant today.
"Great to have Preston get a goal, then as the second half went out Jaiden's confidence opened - to be fair the lad should have been sent off, but they managed it well and took him off the pitch because before he came off Jaiden was causing him all sorts of problems.
"Tate's header, brilliant ball in from Jaiden, thought Remaye did really well in the build up to it.
"And then the last goal a brilliant bit of quality from Ceesay to put Jaiden through and he finishes it really well.
"Brilliant all round performance, three goals and a clean sheet."
