A Clean Sheet For Hereford
Kings Lynn manager Adam Lakeland felt his side should have won yesterday's game against Hereford but admitted their finishing was poor. He also had a few words to say about Hereford's Tate Campbell who scored the visitors second goal.
"I thought we were absolutely brilliant," said Lakeland.
"Especially in the second half in difficult conditions.
"I thought we had so much control of the game.
"We had them camped for very much all of the second half, we created chances that we've got to score but that ultimately cost us.
"I would like to think everybody here would agree that the players gave everything and that we played really well today.
"But we've come away with nothing and that's disappointing.
"We've got to give Hereford some credit for capitalising on a couple of moments that they had and defending resiliantly at times when he didn't manage to break them down.
"We've played a lot worse than that and won a lot of games so it's a slap in the face but that's football."
Tate Campbell sealed the victory late in the game.
"That Tate Campbell, he's a good player, he's an athletic boy.
"Great strike to be fair."
