A very good start for Hereford's latest addition to the squad, Remaye Campbell. He scored on his debut at Kings Lynn yesterday.
After the game he spoke to the Hereford media.
"Three points, debut goal, can't really go wrong," said Campbell.
"It's all about the win.
"Massive sift from the boys, clean sheet, that's what matters,and three points at the end of the day."
The victory was the first time Hereford had won at Kings Lynn in any league.
"The gaffer said it in the changing room, it's a good achievement.
"Hopefully we can kick on now and keep winning and hopefully get in the play-offs."
How did the move to Hereford come about?
"It came about on Monday/Tuesday.
"I was informed, the gaffer came in straight away and showed interest,
"It was a no-brainer really, it's a massive club, great fans, a league above, so why not. "
Manager Paul Caddis has tried to sign Campbell previously.
"Not last season but the season before when first joined he came in for me but it wasn't right for me at the time. Perfect timing now."
Trevor Owens suggested to Campbell that he enjoyed a battle.
"I love fighting with centre-halves and hopefully they don't like it with me. Many more fights I suppose."
Great way to start, a goal on your debut.
"It's any strikers dream to score goals, that's what I've been brought in for so perfect.
"The crowd here was class today, hopefully he'll pick me for Warrington and I can score some more goals at home."
Did you know any of the squad?
"I know Jayden White, I've played against him a few times and Cowls, I've played against him a few times. Othen than that that;s about it."
What about the pitch?
"Heavy pitch but both teams have got to play that but we obviously played it better today and we got the three points."
How did the goal come about?
"Jayd en and Cowley played some good football down the side and then Jayd put me in and I justhit it as hard as you can and the keeper came out and spread himself but I hit it into the corner."
Any goal target for the rest of the season?
"I've got my own targets but I don't want to say them but I'm expected to score goals so hopefully keep going and get on a run now."
