Hereford were away at Radcliffe yesterday and given the positions of the two clubs in the league table one might have expected Hereford to come away with at least a point. But it wasn't to be, a 3-2 defeat.
Afterwards manager Paul Caddis spoke about the game.
"Disappointing day again," said Caddis.
"The goals are pathetic.
"The responsibility is on me, I'm the manager of this football club.
"Right now I'm letting a lot of people down, supporters who never stopped all day, letting the players down, letting everyone down because that's the responsibility I take as a manager."
Caddis made five changes after the draw against Southport, did you see a reaction?
"Well no because we conceded after about three minutes.
"Training has been excellent this week so I wasn't really expecting that first fifteen. twenty minutes.
"We lack men, I'll tell you that right now.
"We're trying to get men in, men cost a few quid but credit to the board they've given me the green light, there will be changes.
"We're hoping to get one or two over the line in the next 24/48 hours.
"We've agreed a deal with an experienced centre-back. we were hoping to have got it done yesterday before 5pm, however there were too many things that had to happen for that to happen.
"As I said the deal has been agreed but until it has been signed and everything sorted then there is nothing we can confirm.
"He's a man, he'll come and he'll throw people about if he has to in the dressing room, he'a big personality and it's something we miss when Matt Preston (injured) is not in the team because Preston is a player whose voice carries.
"We're too nice at times.
"We're looking for another - I'll be brutally honest - we're trying to get presence in the team, it's extremely difficult.
"It's not an excuse it's my job to find it, we're trying to find the best players."
