Hereford manager Paul Caddis needed to bring in a goalkeeper this week as Aaron Chapman is suffering from an injury. Tom Donaghy has arrived from Fleetwood for an initial month.
"Chappy for the last four or five weeks has had a bit of stiffness in his groin, a big of tightness," said Caddis.
"It started off the size of a pea, that's how it's been described. But it's grown.
"We think it might be a hernia.
"So Chappy has been to the GP and he's got tests next week.
"Tom has come in, we managed to get it over the line yesterday (Friday) and I've got to thank Charlie Adam at Fleetwood and Jack Higgins at Fleetwood who have shuffled a few things roundabout for us.
"Tom was meant to be playing for the Fleetwood first team in the Checkatrade Trophy.
"He's someone I knew from my time there.
"Once we knew it was possible then we were delighted to get him.
"His kicking was excellent, he didn't have too much to do in terms of making saves.
"He's a good character, he's dedicated to his work, he's very agile, and as you can see he's got good kicking.
"To get a clean sheet on his debut, he should be delighted with himself."
