The campaign group 'Bring Back United' are set to put forward a resolution at the HUST - Hereford United Supporters Trust - AGM on November 14th.
The resolution is expected to ask HUST members to vote in favour of change of name of the football club from Hereford FC to Hereford United.
The club was called Hereford United from 1924 to 2104 when it was wound up.
And when the 'new' club was launched FA rules would not allow it to be called Hereford United.
'Bring Back United' are hoping supporters of the change will join HUST before the vote, if not already members, to boost the chance of the resolution being passed.
It's understood any resolution will need to be backed by 75% of those who vote.
If that happens then the resolution will then go to the club AGM which is expected to be held in January.
