The Bring Back United group have released their detailed cost analysis for returning to the Hereford United name. This has shown a cost of £9,570. You can read it on their new website (www.bringbackunited.co.uk).
The cost analysis has been worked over several months with the aim of producing a detailed, evidence based guide to the costs of the name change. This has been done with the aim of giving all supporters all the information ahead of a vote on Bringing Back United later this season.
Under a previous club board and chairman, a figure of £30,000+ to complete the name change & associated tasks was suggested: Bring Back United strongly disagree with this. The analysis shows a cost of less than a third of the published figure.
All supporters are encouraged to read the full supporting document which explains all of the above costs in more detail at https://www.bringbackunited.co.uk/costs.
A new pledging system has also been launched due to the high number of Hereford supporters who have expressed an interest in helping contribute to the cost of restoring the Hereford United name. The short questionnaire also gives you a way to let the group know your views on a return to the Hereford United name and opt in to the group’s email list/WhatApp community so you never miss out on the latest information.
On the new website there is a helpful FAQ page with all of the commonly asked questions about the name change process.
